Well I, like peter, become unsatisfied with my concept or design quite frequently. So I decided to add another skirt to my undercarriage. I felt this necessary due to the fact that I did have one section that wasn't fiberglass. Plus during my initial testing in the water, I was sitting too high in the rear and the front was about an inch lower than that I had expected. So now I have covered the weak spot and created a nice skirt that blends nicely with what I already have going on. This piece is actually mounted in already and doesn't cause any more ground clearance issues.
Maximum displacement goal has been set. Pictures are to come after I am done fiddling around.

Phew! Only minor changes then - when I saw the title of your post I thought maybe you had completely started again. You just have to keep going with this one - your Sterling is the best looking amphicar I have ever seen :clapping:

Oh I don't know, I always fancied a DUKW, or for the more sporty and ecological moments a Schwimmwagen... :D

Hey, Thanks Lauren. heres a preliminary picture of my addition of a skid plate  . I haven't started any bodywork yet but I am about done filling the huge cavity that this plate created. plus the expanding foam is also a great adhesive adding to the mounting strength and stability of the piece. Notice how it blends with the two leading edges just about perfectly. I figure that I should have the frame of the car above the water now LOL.
