Uh....hmmm.....I wonder how long it'll run before it bakes itself to death. I'm wagering 15 minutes.
I am no expert on subaru engines but I know that even not allowing water to circulate the heating system will cook them, so running one air cooled...........................hum, I am with you Ric. :help:

Subaru engines NEED the water, I've never heard of one being air cooled before, surely that won't last more than a few minutes :confused1:

too lazy to read so I just looked at the pictures. Has he just dressed it up to look like a type whatever VW engine, with the fan & shroude while still running water & a rad some where??

I see someone has asked him the question Martin...... where is the radiator?
I've been following this since it was posted here. And if you check out the link now, he's revealed his radiator. Very nifty looking.

not get much air in through those side vents, also with all that power at revs it will need cooling aplenty.
I've got a Scooby STI engine for mine and know that it must be plumbed. i will run front radiator with multi-fan support.
the question that I have is about his manifold. its pretty wicked looking. more air capacity, im not sure the advantage.?
I can't wait to get mine up and running, its going to be so fast...
so fast.

I think that manifold, which is a Bergman Porsche style meant for type 1 motors, is there strictly for looks. I'm sure it helps cool a little, but I'm betting the owner wanted to create the illusion of a Porsche engine in the back.

A Porsche dress-up kit for a Scooby engine, now I have seen everything, lol
(and this from someone who has seen a pair of monogrammed "Lamborghini" rocker covers on a Rover V8...)
