You might just need a new driveway though, and possibly a tethered fuel tanker!

Might stop Eeerindoors moaning about crosswinds on the motorway :clapping:

I like the idea of having a truck with 3 x 8.2 litre V8's in it

Holy jesus, what a beast! This is what the auction say's according to Google.

This unique special vehicle was developed by an engineering school from 3 built 1974 Cadillac Eldorados. Motorized with 3 x 8.2 lt V-8 engine, 5-axis, 3 of which are steered and 3 driven. approx 6200kg mass LxWxH approx 10x2x2, 7m (rear). In 2005, inter alia, partially with compl. Revision brake, new tires, new stainless steel exhaust, Karrossiearbeiten. Runs very well and is optically and mechanically in good condition. Upon request, cheaper transport to the whole of Europe.

I wonder what's in the back of that thing.

A large engine room I suspect :D

If you removed the Cadillac bodywork at the front it starts to have real potential...

But as Nic says... why???

Why? because they could. As an engineering project it's fairly interesting in three steering axles, (only had a quick look but saw two axles steering at least), and three drive axles, not sure on this point as my friends 75 caddy is 8plus litres and frontwheel drive so I would suspect that they have used three front ends to achieve the steering axles and power which would leave the rear to be whatever you wanted it to be for. How about a car transporter with a difference.
How they have hooked the steering up is anyones guess as most multi steered vehicles (car derived that is) have the steered wheels fairly close to each other.
Having said that it is not one for me Alex :bleh:

How does the Caddy FWD setup work? Is it similar or the same as (being a GM product) the Olds Toronado package? In-line V8, with Hi-Vo chain drive transaxle underneath?

The upper deck control panel looks like it is off a ship. I think I would prefer to drive the beast from that vantage point...

Yes that's how it's done, massive torque driving a very heavy vehicle via a chain, sounds odd and doomed for failure but does work and has done for a few decades so can't knock it I suppose.

I didn't know that.
