View Full Version : Sunday September 6th - Run to Lewis, East Sussex

31-08-2009, 08:53 AM
Hi Guys,

I've just seen an article in Complete Kit Car from a Tiger owner arranging a Sunday run to Lewis, East Sussex for all kit cars. The guy is Mark Greenwood and he wants to set up 4 starting points, all ending at the Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum near Lewis. He has already set up 2 starting points, one from Sevenoaks and one from Guildford (Newlands Corner). Might be nice for a few Nova's to join in the run if any of you are free and fancy a trip to a Motor museum. Entry to the Museum is 5 each otherwise the run is free. Mark can be contacted on mark.greenwood@klaraconsulting

I'm hoping to be there with my Westfield if the weather is good :D

Sorry to those who need it but best thing I ever did, plus working for a company with a great pension scheme helps loads.

Hi Colin - was this one of the Tiger mob that was in the run to West Wittering the other week? Sounds like a possibility, but I seem to have a lot on next weekend...

Auto Italia at Gaydon, 6th September (big Italian car meet, >50 Lambos guaranteed), or howabout...

Haynes International Motor Museum, Rare Breeds Car Show - quote from museum website

Do you own a 'Rare Breed'? Then why not come along to the Haynes International Motor Museum on Sunday 6th September and show off your prized vehicle. Clubs or individuals are all welcome. We are looking for rarer cars, i.e., cars that were produced in small numbers, specialist vehicle clubs, emergency services, GPO Vehicles, specialist coachbuilders, micro cars and the rarer marques of Kit cars etc, etc.

Take part in one of our competitions: Self judged concours, Curators Choice, Spirit of the Event, Furthest Travelled, and also take part in the Rare Breeds cavalcade on the Museum's test track.

A fantastic chance to join other rare breed owner's and show off your prized posession!

For an application form and full details contact Caroline Coombes at the museum or email: caroline@haynesmotormuseum.co.uk

Whadya reckon? There's discounted entry for 10+ club cars (I know, fat chance). I did Auto Italia last year and it was good fun, but I was thinking of checking this one out as I won't have to argue with any officials - the Nova is a rare breed...

Dammit! I just noticed it looks like entry to the Haynes show is by application in advance. Bit late now I suppose... :annoyed:

That's why there is an email address as well. I'm sure if you mailed them and gave details you would still make this years event.

Yes, that's what I've done. I'll have a check tonight and see if I got lucky, its a lot closer than Gaydon...

We had hoped ot do this one - it is just down the road, in fact we passed the sit ehte other day on our way to a local steam fair (we grounded out in the car park).

A friend of a friend we know has their classic car permanently stored there !

Sadly family and decorating duties may prevent us making it, that and the pile of timber on top of Nena in the garage - no miles on the clock since July :nonono:

Well, good luck to everyone who is going on the kit car run - don't forget to take lots of pictures!

I emailed the Haynes museum and they sent me an application form which I sent off Wednesday. I've not had any further notification so I am just going to turn up and see what happens. Wish me luck!
