It was posted on nationalsterling.org but wanted to toss it here. It is a very cool to see it on a different chassis.

Looks like a great project!! I wonder how well it fits to the Pontiac's chassis.

Nice looking project, surprised that didn't sell! Or is it hard to get something like that registered over there now? The wheels look interesting too. It's a REAL shame that MR2s didn't come with a seperate chassis or that would be an exciting Nova underpinning.

It would probably be registered as a Pontiac if he still had the title, or, depending on the state, re-registered as a special construction. The issue with unfinished kits like this is the people selling them think they're worth far more than they are. Where the auction ended is what the car was worth... at least to me. With all the details still needing to be figured out (how do you reinforce the body with so much being cut out, how do you reinforce the chassis, cooling, etc, etc) the owner obviously built beyond his means and got frustrated. All too common. Now, if that had been a finished, running car, then yes, I think it would have easily broken the $8K mark just for originality. But for a pile of parts... no way!

I'm with Rick - very cool chassis, but who knows how strong it is. What else irks me about this car is the front bonnet, there has to be a lot of work needed up there to finish up. The pictures don't show all of that though.
