View Full Version : VW Beetle GT40? This just seems wrong!
Not sure whats exactly is wrong with this, perhaps just everything, from the praying mantis style front end to the cut out for the shroud at the back.

Now if it was mid-engined, maybe!!

Looks like one of our Fiberfab variants here - they were mostly on Beetle floorpans. A few were tube framed, though...

Yes, it looks like a derivative of the Fiberfab Avenger (or the terrifying mid-engined Valkyrie variant), but the twin shoulder scoops are reminiscent of the GT40 Mk2. I thought it might be one of the European versions, like the '71 Custoka Hurrycane, but that seems to be more in the Bonito vein. It seems too much of a coincidence to be a one-off. The odd proportions of the Avenger are preserved for all to see. Like most replicas of the era, not such a good bet these days...

Most of the problem seems to be around the 'engine/exhaust really don't fit in the shell at all' department!
