Forgot to post those over here. They're off to the Hanging Rock car show, probably the biggest car (S&S) show event in the southern hemisphere. They get some 2000+ cars show up for the day!! Got to get down there one year.

Wow - assuming that's 'the' Hanging Rock, it doesn't look anything like I imagined.

Will look at the videos tonight - at work at the moment. :clapping:

Yeah, it's 'the' Hanging Rock, I believe the large rock in the middle of the photo is actually the 'hanging rock' itself, though obviously from above. Of course when the people went missing, the big ovals were bushland.

That'll be why it doesn't 'look' right - to my ignorant eyes, I was expecting bushland....

It looks a really nice place truth to tell.

Here's another video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gz4Pb4rcyqo) from the same guy for the same event.

Only one I've yet to see in these videos is the yellow 'reek.

Looks like a really good meet. Love the yellow car - looks identical to a Mk1 Nova, even down to the Bedford CF rear lights (did you have Bedfords out there? Or were they another branch of Holden? Or maybe they are different lights altogether!)

Really envious now - Green Machine has been on axle stands for over a month now, and I want to drive again!!!

We had Bedfords over here, hell there's even a couple of Bedford vans still running around here from memory.

That's interesting - after all, they were only called Bedfords because they were made at the GM Vauxhall works in Bedford, I would have thought an Australian manufacturing plant would have churned them out with a local name - unless all the Bedfords in Australia were imported from the UK???

Where are Holdens manufactured then?

Honestly no idea. I have seen the old Bedford vans running around, and they proudly have the 'Bedford' badge across the nose. My parents even had a Commer van, I barely remember it when I was 1.

I honestly don't know. I'll have a look around the net when I get more time, it's getting late here. lol

Holdens are built here, typically the Commodore (at least now days). They haven't had a local home grown small car for decades, the last being the Torana. They're fixing that, as of later this year the Cruize will be built here in Oz, while at the moment it's actually Korean. Most of the 'Holden' small cars were either Korean (Daewoo), UK (Vauxhaul, Opel), or Japanese (Toyota , Suzuki, Izuzu), or American (Chev). Hell, even the Commodore was Uk (Opel), from 1978 to 2006!.

Ok, done a little digging around and found that Holden dealerships did indeed sell Bedford vehicles here in Oz. Main info I found was on the CF on this forum (http://www.carkb.com/Uwe/Forum.aspx/au-cars/320/Bedford-CF-vehicles). I guess they sold other Bedford vehicles along side the CF.

Cool! So you could get CF rear lights for the Eureka then :D

Indeed. Probably why they didn't change the rear end of the Sport (the 'original' version of the Eureka).

:D
