Supercar Sunday at Brooklands, 15th July.

Appears to be a Mk1, manual canopy? There's a Lotus badge on the bonnet, hinting at the motive power perhaps?

Looks really nice, period Englemann mirrors are absolutely boss, does it belong to anyone we know?

It just goes to show, there must be loads of Nova's out there that we don't know about as they don't know about the Euro Nova Forum.

I'm guessing you didn't make it to that show otherwise you would have taken more photos. I'll do a recce and see if I can find some more...

There is a picture of this car in the November 82 issue of Kit Car in a feature about the Hindhead Show. Apparently it was/probably still is Lotus powered and was owned by a John Rand. Wheels and mirrors appear to be as in 1982. The caption to the picture hints at the car having a digital dash.

Thanks for posting those images Giles - you are correct, I didn't go; a minor lack of transport...

Thanks Ed for the extra detail - amazing that the car has remained unchanged for so long. The rear light panel is from an ADD car, and the rear lights are TR7 units, as used by the Sterlings in the US. The canopy features the factory removable sunroof panel.

The picture I posted showed the canopy to be slightly proud of the bodywork at the front, which made me wonder if it was still manual, but I can see from Giles' pictures that there is a keyswitch located on the side for a hydraulic system.

Its great to see a Nova at this sort of event (even if it isn't mine  ), especially as I think this was the first effort by Auto Italia editor Micheal Ward's corporate events company. Mr Ward seems to have a particular downer on kit cars of any sort, from what I can gather.
