I'm not a big fan of bike engines into cars due to the weight vs torque disparity, but after seeing a video of a Mini Cooper with one of these kits in it, building a Nova with a space frame with this kit as a mid-engine could be interesting indeed: http://pro-motive.co.uk/R1KitInfo.html
The car in question: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pro-Moti ... v4exp=true (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pro-Motive-Yamaha-R1-Motorcycle-Motor-11-500RPM-/170952507667?item=170952507667&ViewItem=&forcev4exp=true)

Very nice - but the weight/torque disparity is still there; weight is the absolute enemy of the bike engined car, its got to be down around the 600 kg mark before it begins to look competitve against a car engine. Fortunately the Mini shell is pretty light compared to a modern car shell.

The other variation I have seen is a mid-engine Mini, with the rear bulkhead removed and bike engine installed on a special subframe.

Like you, I am not a fan of bike engined cars, particularly those with chain-drive transmission, but I can see thier merit!
