View Full Version : nova for sale

24-04-2013, 05:27 PM
Well, i said i would never sell but here i am. I have been thinking of selling for a long time. I would make my mind up to sell, then the day after im looking at e bay for clocks or some goodies to continue.
The truth of the matter is i have just simply lost intrest in staying over at work after doing a 10 to 11 hour shift and then "starting again" working on the car, its been like this for about the last two years. The cars been stored in a container all that time and i dont think its doing it any good,(damp) so as i have said ,i have decided to get rid.
If anyones intrested there are photos on the photos page under jestertopdogs car.
Its got a v5 on sorn, says vw (sports i think) a 1500cc vw engine with new big ends, mains, rings etc, webber carb and a dress up kit.
The windscreens there, wheels tires, hydrolic roof.
interiors the big job left to do.
I would like 1500.
If your intrested you can give me a call on 07739097310 the cars in yorkshire near york.

Hi Jason.

Sounds like an old hand (not in age!!) Nova owner is back to the fold. Nice to see a Nova going to a good home :groupwave:

Well sorry to say i wont be buying this nova after all ,
I will wait for another due to certain things need doing beyond my capabilities ,

So this nova is still for sale , :-(

Tough luck Jason. But better to take on something that you have a chance of finishing rather than add to the pile of 'garage projects' that never see the light of day.

Good luck with your continuing search, better hurry if your going to have it on display at Stones '14 :whip:

Is this the Jason who hand stitched his seat covers, fitted sodding great woofers and not to mention a V8 in a SS?, Must be horrendous to be beyond your capabilities.

Peter, I was having the same thoughts.

Jason, was it one of Alex's resin models?

Jason was kind enough to PM me with the details, all I can say is, skill, space and deep pockets needed.

...If I may ask, what put you off this Nova if all it needs is the interior? Is it this one here? viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1535 (http://www.euro-nova.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1535) (The start of the thread didn't give a link to the photo's... for 1500 it looks like a bargain?!? ...what am I missing? `)

A pic i took under neath ,

It needs a body off total restoration ,

18-05-2013, 03:38 PM
I have offered to negotiate on price but it cost me 50 on fuel and 50 trailer hire thinking it just needed interior ,

Lots of other things require attention too

18-05-2013, 04:47 PM
ok, thanks... I'm already in a position with the body off; my chassis is basically sound now. I have a massive lot of work to do to body panels due to gel cracks, bonnet going through a windscreen, hacking off the back to get an engine in before I found my chassis needed work and hence removing main tub etc... I will post some up to date pics and start a build thread soon... I'm really only after body panels and canopy hinges but don't really want to buy a whole car as that would mean it is another Nova that may be a project for someone else, and I would only strip it for what I need... `( (but that would be far cheaper than the other option I have in mind!)

I'll wait to hear from jestertopdog as far as body work, etc...

23-05-2013, 09:42 PM
After some working out how much this is going to cost to strip and re build , the car is now mine as i am satisfied i can finish the task ahead ,
Just got to collect it in next few days :-)

Congrats! so you bit the bullet! `) Good luck with sorting out!

24-05-2013, 06:49 AM
Aaaagh it's one of those 'on - off' affairs! Hopefully it will stay in the 'on' camp and you'll have a grand car for Stones next year! (or Exeter if you're feeling speedy....) Congratulations again Jason! :D :clapping:
