If you are running Windows 7 do not try internet explorer 11, it buggers things right up including trying to access this forum.

I prefer firefox for most stuff. But if the site is spam heavy, I use opera. I flat refuse to use ie. Its a massive target for hackers

It's a stodgy bloated program, and Firefox has always knocked spots off it, but I just tried it out and once you find how to bypass the awful Bing bit it works fine on the forum......

Hmm... why would microsoft set bing as IE's default when THEY rate it as one of the worst search engines around? seems kinda dumb to me, and I dug around a bit after your mentioning that, IE9 is just as bad (this old box uses vista)

They do? They default to Bing as it's Microshafts own search engine.

It's the only one that I saw rated less than 4 stars On their main list. (It had two) so, yeah. One of the worst.

Tried all the major browsers on dual screens and after two weeks Firefox came out on top by a good margin in speed, ease of use and stability, so that's what I now use..
