    Have a good clean of battery posts and clean or renew terminals. You may have a lazy starter, try another one if you can.

    Valve timing is usually the zero on all cylinders. I take it the comp tool is working properly. Piston comes up and valves are open, no compression.

    No idea what you have fitted. Relay is to protect switch, you go for wires coming straight from pump, disconnect and then power pump from battery.

    Connect a battery straight to the pump, up it goes. I have some wire in the bonnet just for that job. 24volts is what you get crossing jumper cable.
