Well, this thread woke me up. Bought back so many memories of working on Ukhozi. I can see where you want to go BUT beware from one that knows, these 'improvements' will take you onto the dark side...
Looks very good Brett. Can always tell when a modification or design works as it 'flows' with the shape of the car and looks like it was meant to be there from the start. as yours does.
I had small cameras just behind the doors (CANOPY) and two 4" monitors , one each end of the dash as rear view mirrors as well as the ones on the doors. The intention was to try both but only keep...
Garage and storage is a big headache here, as can be seen by the rapid expansion of a container storage company nearby. Nothing under 200€ a month car size. (half container)
I was lucky to rent...
For class job I used fabric edging tape, it is a bitch on the fingers sewing but the finish is OEM. Unless you know someone with a heavy duty sewing machine, I found my local cobbler very helpful.

Cimbria sold again for $12k to an upholstery guy in Florida and this time gone BUT he has now got FOUR MGBs in the yard, MGB 2 is nearly finished, MGB3 will be restored and the one with body bent...
There are a few ways to import a kit car without declaring it a "car", "prototype" is one, "development project" etc. Just because it looks like a car it doesn't mean it IS a car.
I take it that is KPH, :whistling:

I like that. A lot.
He has just taken delivery of a 1977 MGB in bits and already fitted a new left floor panel and steam cleaned it all. It will be his 3rd,
Unfortunately the buyer for the Cimbria was a time waster...

SOLD $12K, no hassle. Next a 1977 MBG roadster, the second one in the states and the third he has owed, had a MGB GT in the UK. I had a Lambretta SX200, probably worth more than the MG now days.
Unfortunately I don't have photos of Ukhozi's front towing bar as it's long gone to Malaga but basically I made an assembly from 40x4 flat bar. 'L' shaped from bottom beam mounting bolts under boot...
Big fan of the Cavalier lights, but I am biased.
The internal handbrake parts look simple but can easily get fitted wrong.
Good progess and finally looking like it will be finish very soon.
Great videos and progress is progress.
As far as the bonnet goes why not use the old BMW system (E30 etc.) , it is not complicated and answers all the problems. It is forward hinged but lifts up at...
Recliners. he said they 'just fit' so I guess much the same as the ones I bought.
I agree with their skills that have improved a great deal as they built better cars with now substantial chassis, unlike the first one and I have been watching them since they had a donkey engine in...
Rather than do it all again I just post a link to the EOC. page.
