That's right Steve - manual canopy too, you can see the Austin Maxi gas rams. The seat shells are interesting because they show that ADD produced the highback variant before the Elams took over. But...

It's a French Scobra I believe. But clearly derived from the Puma one-piece body shell moulding. I don't dislike it either, but my personal preference would be a removable hard top, but better still...
I would think so. I can see the Smiths Mini-Pack in the usual place on the offside rear inside wheelarch panel, although it sounds like the rear light panel is missing, which is a pity. Interesting...
Norris the Nova :confused1::facepalm:
Well done finally sealing the deal on your dream machine
And welcome aboard :welcome:
Lauren
Very neat - probably a lot cheaper to put together than my AVOs too. I presume they are aftermarket dampers for the E-type, I don't recall the big cat leaving the factory with that level of...
I know not many of you will agree, but I actually like the dull finish of slightly corroded aluminium on wheels. They look more like the original finish of cast magnesium, which is what they are...
When I get further down my to-do list I was going to shoot texture coat over the back of my seats. Expensive by rattlecan standards but a lot cheaper than flocking.
And seeing as I have used it...
That is great to hear. I hope that he finds something suitable, although there are precious few cars that haven't been hacked about, and I suspect he will want a Mk1 as well...
Lauren
Hi Phill - great to hear that you have been in touch with Phil - I hope he is keeping well. I only had a brief email exchange with him a few years ago, but his continued enthusiasm for the Nova was...
Puts my 3-pin contact plate to shame :D
Thanks Steve - I was out in the car in filthy wet weather yesterday and I can confirm that the side window vent works a treat - clear view of the outside rear view mirror, and I haven't even sorted...
Here is the spec sheet for the Elam Mk1 Nova. I hope it is readable!

I have also seen the specifications for the wheels and tyres,...
Thanks Ryosuke - the Green Machine is an early Elam Mk1 Nova, which they started producing in 1977 and replaced with the Mk2 in 1981. It is not clear how many Elam Mk1 cars were made, but as you say,...
I have the Elam Mk1/2 Nova specification sheet from 1981 in my file. I can scan it for you.
Don't get too excited about non-VW engines, as none of these were officially offered by ADD or Elams....
Thanks guys - much appreciated
I just need to get the other side done now, finish fabricating the cockpit rear quarter panels, and then I will be ready to fit my electronic ignition...
Hi Dirk - I wasn't out in the car yesterday because I was expecting snow, but I was out the day before when the temperature was also below zero. Even without the side panels in place, the hot air...
That's a very interesting problem. Essentially you are importing a kit car into Greece, but treating it as a factory-built example, so need to have a factory specification to work with. Fortunately...
Thanks Mike, I am very pleased with the fit. It has taken a long time, and two false starts, to get to this point!
I used this part on the Green Machine originally, but the special splined shaft I had made must have been a little bit smaller diameter than the original shaft so I could not get the casting to pinch...
I have retained these flimsy, badly formed panels since I acquired my Nova in 1990. For 6 years they covered the worst visual aspects of the canopy hinges and hydraulics when the canopy was closed,...
We used to have a couple of South African Eagle owners on this forum a while back. Like the Sterling in the US and the Eureka in Australia, the Eagle was an officially licenced copy of the ADD Nova....
That's interesting. I remember Richard Oakes telling me that they had a problem with red gel coat discolouration (to a mucky brown colour), but I didn't realise there was a colour-fastnes problem...
Hi Mike - another great photo, thanks for posting. Wonderful to see so many ADD Mk1 cars together, and as you say, no shortage of green examples!
But try and find an original green car that hasn't...
Thanks Mike - some useful tips for when I get my AVO front double-adjustables installed!
(I have just about got the old SPAX units doing what they should, but they are only single-adjustable)
...
Indeed :(
Stay safe Peter.
