Hi Phil no its not mot exempt, I presume talking about the hydraulic lic handbrake, I'm using a cable system but vehicles pre Jan 68 will pass an mot with just a hydraulic h/brake

If you can't fix it, it's possible to convert a T1 bellows, it does open slightly earlier but not by a significant amount

What are the bearing faces like with all that shrapnel? god knows what's in the oil galleries make sure you really fush them out, also might be worth changing the con rods or at least checking there...
If you want to check the suspect valves, lap them with a fine paste ,if you get a continuous uniform grey finish there ok but any gaps or polished areas point to a bent valve ,also worth checking the...
Really nice installation great detail, the track rod vertical clearance looks very tight with the steering shaft ,I imagine with suspension compression on full lock it gets close
Is the window fixed or opening, I’m working on virtually the same design at the moment with an opening lower pane instead of at the moment fixed ¼ light and removable rear

Hi David I don't think it would make much difference which way you did the pipe work, I think I used the Y so the pipe diameter was similar to the inlet on the rads if going in one then to the next...
