It may not be needed, and as Phil says and escape route may also make a difference. One thing that I'm not sure if its possible, but one idea may be an auxiliary fan blowing into the "inlet" for the...

Wow, major milestone cleared with the Aircon, congrats! And do love the look of the futuristic looking dash, the interior will be truly awesome and OEM when fully timed.
all looking very tidy, much less cumbersome than my big thick flexible hoses throughout (although my install isn't finished or tested). Will be great to hear the results once charged, exciting times ...
Its John Parkinson (Dan's dad) building the MRT Nova. He doesn't have a build thread and doesn't post.....not so much into forums. Previous posts were from Dan and I think I posted a couple of photos...
gotta love google translate :blushing:
Mike, Fotos würden sehr helfen, denn vielleicht ist es eine Nova, die jemand im Forum gesehen hat oder von der er weiß. Wie dem auch sei, willkommen im Forum und Besitzer eines Nova. Sobald Sie sich...
Not at the risk of a real hydraulic ram imbalance leading to a twisting canopy and broken windscreen ($$$$).......better to find out other ways , anyway, with zero load on the hinges a...
Will have to agree to disagree on this one
If you've ever lifted sandbags (except if they are totally full to the brim) they sag at the point they are lifted, my thinking was the bags go over the narrow hinge in the middle effectively making...
some makeshift sand bags / sacks of soil over the hinges would do the trick, and prevent damage to the body versus other forms of weight. Adding weight may also help with bleeding the system of air...
I guess given the rear mounted engine configuration of our cars, the only alternative is finding salvageable OEM pipes for reuse and re-bending long enough to suit would be from rear engined cars....
I tend to agree with Alistair based on my own experiences without the canopy, its not reflective of with it on. Temporarily stick the canopy on first, then decide if further investigation is required.
useful reference and source of parts
Alternatively, Subaru engine :whistling:
I'm sure I have a photo of Steve somewhere, he was the original builder of my first Nova before I rebuilt it.......but I'll let Steve do the honors if he wants
Steve, nice attention to...
Many Thanks ;)
Wouldn't be the first time a sales guy was economical with the truth to get a sale, really pisses me off though when they do that
Yes please as I have a new system I'll have to charge at some...
Sounds about right, and seems based on the web its not widely available yet.....very frustrating
After all that hard work combining components I'm sure that is very satisfying, well done.
So I assume the systems not gassed yet, so we will have to wait for the aircon side of the equation and...
Given there is likely a small difference between the right and left windows (nothing symmetrical on a Nova), and you have the cut out at the front I'd likely go down this path :
1) Make a thin...
Welcome to the forum, and to stay here you need to follow one simple rule......Lots of photos as you go along....its the law :wink:
I admire you willingness to focus on making your car the...

Tough choices I guess....maybe some experimentation with gel coat mixing and pigments? Find a close match and fill the holes, then T-Cut back.
Congrats on the pass, and an innovative way to get around the mirror problem for a canopyless MOT!
I do hope you've got plans to change the old clasp catches that the old Jim fitted to make the...
Doesn't the remote control receiver unit itself have small onboard relays? I believe most do, so this could still be the reason
