That’s excellent Steve! Really appreciate that. Obviously happy to buy the one(s) needing the most work. Looking forward to chatting more in a few months
Alistair
Thanks Alex... if I can’t find any I’ll get back to you and see what we can sort out
Alistair
I’m ok for a dash Steve, but am looking for a couple of Mk1 dash pods ... don’t suppose you (or anyone else reading this) has got any pods they’d be willing to part with?
Alistair
Outside photos look great Mike! Thanks for sharing
Thinking ahead, and whilst very easy to do retrospectively, a removable panel in the body beneath the rear window might improve...
You’re making great progress Mike. For various reasons I’ve not made any progress for a while, but your ‘Christmas’ comment reminded me how good it felt during the 1st lockdown to get lots of...
Warm welcome back Keith!!
Glad to hear you’ve still got your Nova and looking forward to hearing how you get on with the engine, especially as the better weather’s not too far away.
Alistair
Barry,
Your car looks really well finished .... have you set up a thread in the 'Your Cars' section? Would be great to see more photos of the rest of the car ... engine, chassis, suspension, etc...
I’m afraid I have to agree....
That's great news Phill
... and you're taking the right approach by commiting to a full rebuild at a leisurely pace since your Nova's already on the road.
As for the noise, it sounds...
Interesting one. No mention of a V5, but it's on a VW chassis, has a windscreen .... and a V8 engine! :outahere:
If Mrs Bluenova was to allow me to get another Nova (which she won’t )...
Steve,
I've said it before and I'll say it again .... with this attention to detail on stuff that folk can't see as you drive her along the road ............ surely she deserves a stunning paint...
.... and post photos of your fun with her, coz Phill, as a long standing member, keeps reminding us .... it's the law!
Brilliant news Jonathan!! :clapping:
Firstly, huge congrats on the new job, especially in securing it in such difficult times.
Secondly, what a beautiful Nova you've secured. I hope you get...
Thanks Alex. It’ll be a while before I get to that stage (I suspect my rebuild is progressing at a similar pace to your Pie Valley build?) but I appreciate your offer. I’ll let you know once I get to...
Phill, I've got a copy of the photos from the last time it was on ebay and the screen was in place at that time. It's difficult to make out how good the screen was from the photos
That's a helpful post Brett. I like the step by step pictures approach
I don't have much experience of working with glassfibre and at some point am planning to create a Mk1 bonnet from...
Looks very like the one that was sold by a deceased person’s estate last year and then turned up on eBay very shorty afterwards. Looks like a good basis for a full project .... assuming of course...
Here's how I brought the sparkle back to mine .... hope it helps!

Welcome to the Forum T23rny :)
I assume that by 'black Nova Mk1' you're the new owner of Andrew's old Nova which was recently for sale by Joseph in Sheffield?
Best to start a new thread under...
So it looks like Andrew's black Nova has been sold ... but Tobias's red Nova is still lurking in the background of this video (about half way through) from Joseph, the Sheffield dealer. She's...
I was teasing Mike. The last time we saw progress like yours was when Dirk repaired and upgraded his Avante. Remember it’s not a race ... and enjoy the journey
Great wee welding opportunity Mike! Having seen your rate of progress to date, I reckon you’ll have your Nova back on the road by the end of your furlough..... enjoy the opportunity!

Hmmm ... well, at least it gives Mark the chance to buy her back again! :outahere:
