I LIKE this idea Phil, a lot! 2-3 pins up front and then fasten it at the rear of the bonnet. I've been thinking about these to help secure it but wasn't sure where to use, until now. I think they'll...
You're very welcome. I feel I take more than I give at times, so I'm very happy this has been of use.
That is FREAKING fantastic! I love that idea. Just make sure you put a grill over it to keep finger, toes and small animals and children out of it.
That's a handsome engine cover, Brett. Looking forward to seeing it completed.
Thanks, happy to have done it! Sadly, it's in Standard measurements, but I'm sure an enterprising individual can convert it to the superior Metric measurements.
Somewhere, I uploaded pictures of the side panels, with measurements and a detailed drawings too. I'll see what I can find.
Found it! - Patterns for original side and rear vinyl panels...
I am 100% guessing here that the pressure from the sender will vary the amount of voltage sent to the gauge, or the amount of current. So hooking to 12V will just send it to high every time...
I'm using the pump out of a 2xxx model Mustang. Not overly noisy and moves the top reasonably well.
Hi Dirk, Yep, totally could have done that. I thought about adding a hex grill pattern to it but wanted to leave it open for anyone to be able to print and then add their own mesh/grill option....
Thanks for that Brett. The seat came out of the mold without a lot of effort, I'm really just thinking about a better quality finish on the part of the seat I'll be sitting on. I don't think the seat...
Slow going on the seats. I have the gelcoat gun and paper cups. I cleaned up the back of the seat I pulled and filled in most of the voids. I think this is my plan.
I'm going to use the seat I...
Well done, the bend/measure/bend/measure method seems to have paid off.
You didn't mention what site you were looking at, but try this - aluminum | McMaster-Carr
There are some magnetic side affects to IT equipment. One example, my job is IT and we've had a number of people call in stating their laptop screen goes dark anytime they try to type on the built in...
I brushed it on the first time, but my coverage was clearly lacking. I did order the paper cups, just waiting for them to arrive. I probably wont get a chance to do anything this weekend as it's the...
Seat is out of the mold, but not 'cleanly'. I'll have to fix the mold, seal and wax it better this time and pull a 2nd part and hope for better results this time. Also, this is taking SO MUCH...
How often will you be removing the armrest? Would neodymium magnets work? 4 in the armrest and 4 matching on the side panel, depending on how much pressure you put on them they could hold pretty well...
Could have been a piece mold, split down the middle length-wise, but that would still be difficult to de-mold.
Hi Brett,
Good info for others , but I knew that bit already, and chose to ignore the screaming voices in my head telling me not to. What I should have done is what I did on the seat...
You get your sweet bippy it does. Smells just like melting ABS. Also another good reason to have a printer enclosure with a vent to the outside, passive or with a fan at a slow speed. You don't wanna...
Tuesday night I was able to put down the first layer of gel coat and Thursday the 2nd layer. Friday night the first 2 layers of CSM were applied. Saturday was the first layer of woven roving. Looking...
Hi Steve! Amazing! Thank you so much for taking the time to print and share it. I'm honored, Thank you. Looks good btw.
I'm also happy to share the file, or Steve can, with anyone else. Or, offer...
Pretty sure those are owned by a US Sterling site member. The rear end looks familiar.
Looks great, Brett. I don't recall, the things that look like door handles, are they cupholders?
