    Re: Jems Avante

It depends whether fragments have damaged the cylinders, apparently its a good idea not to read about this on the internet! The valve seat can be sucked back into the inlet manifold, and then sent to...

    Re: Jems Avante

Got the alternator fitted no probs, and all charging. Bonus is on the alternator I got, I have a 12v pulse output, so I can wire up the tachometer too.
However it's all irrelevant for now, as I have...

Stoneleigh is a NO! Loud ticking noise from engine, thought it might have been the cam lifters, so I changed some over from another engine I have, but now it sounds like the engine is eating itself,...

Re: A house for the Nova owner who has everything

It lacks any kind of charm, I like houses with charm, I suppose I've been spoilt by oak beams, leaded windows, and 15th Century construction!
And surely a Nova belongs on a drive outside a house of...

Ghastly, it looks like an office I used to work in. In fact it looks like a lot of the 1960's concrete office buildings that have been updated by painting the concrete.

Yes Dave you will find out that whether you pass or fail all you get is a rather bland piece of white paper, even the advisories are on the same A4 sheet. As my MOT man said, its just a receipt now...

    Re: 6.3 mm spade terminals

I had a little window tonight to get this alternator on, then I'm away till Saturday, and the list of jobs pre Stoneleigh looks a bit scary :) At least thats one less.

I'm ringing around motor factors, and no-one seems to stock them

    6.3 mm spade terminals

Is there somewhere (a physical shop) that sells 6.3 mm spade connectors (female). I can order these from RS Components, but in 100's and I need 2 - £7 is a lot of money for 2 terminals! Most places I...

Tyre pressures done (yes they were in the low 20's) and I will take it in to sort out the tracking. The alternator is the problem now. I won't get to Stoneleigh on battery power :)
