    Nic's Sterling CCC #416

I posted in the last one, so Ill post here too.

more at http://www.CCC416.com including a build diary. I am currently working on dropping the pans 5" so I can hopefully fit in the car. I have the passenger pan about 90% welded in and the drivers about 50%. More work to do tonight.
    Thanks,

    Nic.

It's a 52 year old car and everything works, just not always at the same time.......and it's probably about to get jealous!

Thanks guys. The wheels are looking a little shoddy lately. Once I get the car up and running Ill get the chrome polished up nice and purty like.
    Thanks,

    Nic.

    New Parts

    WAAA HOOOO!!!

I received a package from my friendly UPS man this morning.
A pair of struts for my front suspension.
Urethane bushings for my anti-sway bar.
The little metal bracket thingy to keep my pedal from falling forward and therefore rendering them useless.

Ill get some pics posted up after I get it all installed.
    Thanks,

    Nic.

Some slow progress pics. I removed the transmission to replace the worn boots on my swingaxle. I took the opportunity to clean and repaint things as long as it was all off. I need to buy some brake parts to get the rear drums and parking brake in working order. I'll eventually replace with disc brakes but I just want to get her registered first.

Cleaning an axel tube. The jug on the bench is Mineral Spirits, great degreaser.

Axel tubes all painted in glossy black. I didn't paint all the way down due to the boots covering this area up anyway.

    Spring plates painted as well.

    Transmission horns painted.

Do ya like my transmission stand?
    Thanks,

    Nic.

Proper job Nic - I know of an entire dancefloor in a dodgy pub on Bodmin Moor that is supported on just the same crates!
