I think that as the Nova bonnet is a bit longer 150Nm would be good but it also depends on the angle and in particular the position of the lower mount in relation to the pivot.

Brett proctor on the Sterling forum has just fitted tailgate struts to his so you might get a better idea there, quite a different layout though as he didn't have to contend with a 28mm bar for the headlights as I did.

Sometimes and I do mean 'sometimes', I make a cock up and have to admit I have wasted a lot of time and money on an idea and the one piece carbon fibre fascia is one of those times, it looked horrible, just OTT and lacked 'charicture' and 'balance'.

So back to the 2013 design as below but in the 2015 console and handbrake cover but the new switches and buttons.
Only a photo shopped version of last years but good enough-

I have just enough ribbed alloy to do the lower part of the console and the handbrake cover, a carbon fibre covered 1/2" alloy 'T' section will divide the lower part from the screen as well as retain the lower edge of the screen, the top will once again be black leather-cloth to match the side pods and come a little over the screen as a hood and hide the top fittings of the screen, I have to remake that to reach the screen anyway after I cocked that measurement up.

Not going retro with the Pioneer set up, even if it is awesome sounding so staying with the 6.5" screen as is, apart from that the whole set up is probably worth half as much as the car now.

Had a go at the trim yesterday and I have to say the ribbed alloy finish is way better than the black CF all over.

Side pods need about 1 1/2" extra between them and the center after I moved them outwards, so a bit to do there including moving the steering cowl cut-out but will look good in the end.

Going to recover the console sides and 'puff up' those "swage" sides Lauren likes a bit so the chrome strip on the edge of the center 'fascia' sites down in it better.

Hi Peter, sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with the results, although not entirely surprised - CF may be highly prized for its light weight, but it ain't 'arf ugly!

I would just like to add that I truly admire your dedication to the finer details and hopefully some of that will rub off on me with my build.

Thanks for the kind words, gives me bit of a boost so off to the 'shed' tomorrow and see what I can do.

The hall effect trigger is to hand now so I might have a go at sorting the speedo pulses out, again.

Another little job, I'm drilling out the broken bristels in the shift bezel for the BMW E30 and gluing new bristles in.

Sometimes it takes a try to actually see what the effect will be and as on the Konigsegg it's the percentage of CF that has to be right and I found out it's OK as a trim, embellishment or accent but too much is just too 'kin much. Balance, balance, balance. (is that too much balance?)

Not a great day in the shed today, bit late getting there so short hours too .

Puncture kit bought and tube fixed on wife's bicycle, so she at least is happy .

Now I have it all sorted out the centre console is totally stripped down to the wood and smoothed, all I need now is some 3mm hi-density foam to wrap it in (and hide all the repairs and alterations ) before I re-cover with new red faux leather, I want that softer look to match the seats and handbrake cover, it will also make the fascia fit better but finding it will be a pain as not too many upholsterers or DIY here.

New screen needs to be cut and curved.

Spent ages, too long, drilling out the old brush bristles on the E30 gear change bezel, only to find fitting 20 or so bristles into each of the 60 or so 2mm holes will take some thinking about, need to invent a gizmo to help stuff them in before glueing.

Got home to find the 6 way mini fuse holder has arrived so I can get the remote relay board up to date, (as soon as the replacement 4 way relay for the display LEDs arrives that is, I broke the original one, it's dead. )

Today was half over after I hunted all over for some high density foam sheet and finally the Chinese came up with 3mm A2 self adhesive stuff. After cleaning the console up I covered the sides in a nice Royal blue and then hot glued the red vinyl over it. Quite pleased with the results, soft but not too spongy, switches hooked up, 19 way connector screwed on, door buttons connected and fascia fitted over radio which is plugged into the console.
Mini fuse holder arrived also so out came the relay board and that was fitted.

    Speedo

Found out something I didn't know, the magnets polarity is critical regards the hall effect.
Despite changing speedo switches and numbers of magnets on the disc I still can't get anywhere near the correct speedo reading. I think it might need the 29 tooth ABS ring.
