Cheers Andrew. I bought a rechargeable drill/screwdriver from them 2 yrs ago expecting it to only last 6 mths but it's in daily use and still going strong! Alistair

There is limited adjustment at the back, but the front can be properly set up.
It had been done by eye, and to be fair it drove fine - but once this guy had it all set up on his (rather flashy) kit, it was actually quite a way out. Especially the toe in/out.

I must admit I forgot to dig out the report, but it's now slight toe in, and 1° negative camber.
The rear is at 5° negative camber, but both sides are spot on the same.

Yeah - it's pretty extreme! I suspect looking at that photo that the smart cars headlights are above the roof line lol!

    I've had;
    • What is it x2
    • Is it fast
    • Is it a Miura

And there were two very very near accidents on the drive home from Fareham from people too busy staring at it and not looking where they were going

So - I'm about 1000 miles in now, give or take, daily driven!

    Just a quick run down:

    Pros:
    • Oil leak stopped.
    • Although antisocially loud outside, not too bad inside!
    • Breaks are better than I'd feared.
    • It's quicker than it needs to be.
    • 30 mpg very approx.
    • Isn't leaking in the rain.
    • Hasn't broken down on me yet, in fact it's probably my most reliable car in years!
    • The ride and handling are a total step change from what I remember. It's still no Lotus Elise, but it isn't a total nightmare to drive either. Takes work and concentration, like a proper car should!
    • Most speed bumps can be negotiated with care.

    Cons:
    • N/S hydraulic ram assembly leaking. Think from the cylinder itself, not 100% sure.
    • Water temp gauge unreliable, probable mismatch between gauge and sender.
    • Fairly certain I'm loosing coolant from the overflow at the rad, finding it hard to tell.
    • Grip lacking in wet/cold.
    • Clutch is a bit unrefined, can be easily stalled or shoot off unintentionally quickly. Learning it.
    • Speedo still picking up random electrical signal from something, okay when strong speed signal supplied by movement, picks up stray when stationary. Therefore it's clocking extra miles, and making the mpg a very rough estimate.
    • Oil pressure generally low once up to temp, but not loosing any.
    • Idle air control still 'sticking' - sometimes killing the engine at idle sometimes giving 2k rpm idle
    • Hot starting is very hard - it doesn't want to turn over, sounds/behaves like low battery, but battery is fine. Starts fine after a couple of minutes.
    • Occasionally running rough, a recent development. I'm worried it's my spark plug issue returning, we never solved it.
    • O/S/R wheel has a low speed 'clunk'. Not found anything that moves when it shouldn't, or doesn't when it should.
