It’s been a successful week in the garage this week. Stripped and rebuilt the clutch on the little Villiers, cleaned carb, reset points and fired it up

Next on the list was to rig up the Piaggio scooter tank and see if the MGTF engine would come back to life......

    Well done Mick

How about a video walkaround showing us the car in it's current state?

Congratulations Mick! SOOOOOO far ahead of me now........
It's a 52 year old car and everything works, just not always at the same time.......and it's probably about to get jealous!

Sounds fantastic, I can just imagine driving through the Marbella tunnel , WOW.

Can't wait to get mine up and running again since the new engine mounts and exhaust mods.

    I also have a 1959 Matchless ....
A 1953 James Comet. I inherited it from my grandad (actually bought it from him for a shilling) when he got too old to ride it. It was my first ‘on the road’ bike, (I had a BSA M20 and a Bitsa made from Triumph and Royal Enfield bits that I rode round the fields in Devon) and has been refurbished before but hasn’t been on the road since about 1983. It sat in my shed gathering dust, cobwebs and rust waiting to get on the ‘project’ list.
Finally, I had some time due to the current situation, so it’s in the garage for some attention.

Its only a 98cc autocycle so not a ‘classic’ but it’ll be rideable once it’s done.
