I am about to make a hydrogen fuel cell for my Sterling and possibly other vehicles that I own. Has anybody done this yet? Or if you know how to do so, or have a good link to some info that would be helpful!!
Thanks

That's a California thing. No such animal here on the east coast yet in reference to a refueling station. That's a pretty ambitious project, Rob. Do you mean purchase or make, as in welding a cell? I'm not sure I'd trust my welds to a fuel cell that pressurized at something like 2000psi.... I hope you can!
Wha? Make a hydrogen fuel cell??? You mean combine pressurised hydrogen and oxygen at the atomic level to create electricity with water as a by-product????????
Methinks this is a tad challenging for the homebrew car builder. I'm sure it can be done on the cheap, but I suspect the efficiency of the cell will prevent useable amounts of electricity being generated. Combusting hydrogen on the other hand is reasonably easy to do, but your welding really needs to be certifiable, as Rick was saying. Good luck Rob!
Doh!
You mean hydrogen fuel tank, don't you? - divided by a common language again

only Pythagoras can save me now!
Am I missing something here. Fuel cell = fuel tank. No issues there but why would you want a Hydrogen tank unless you are going to use a hydrogen power system for the vehicle? ?

Lauren is right for "hydrogen fuel cell"...but also look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_tank# ... fuel_cells
Damn English language...half a million* words and these two use the same one for totally different designs!!!

to be honest I dont know what I'm doing anymore. And writing or language has never been my strong point (obviously).
So my goal is rather like Lauren said, a hydrogen fuel tank? I got the idea from a guy that was wanting to buy a body kit from me. So I am just trying to get more info on the subject. It seemed to be pretty easy from the way that he described it.
I am not trying to produce electricity. I am trying to use the hydroden (hho) in water in the combustion chamber. I've seen it on TV and it looked like it was quite simple. From what I saw it didnt seem like the container(S) that was used was under a great deal of pressure , but what do I know!!
