At last, the unique 1970 Gilbern T11 has surfaced, so you can finally see what I've been banging on about

As you can see from the side profile, there is more than a hint of the DeTomaso Mangusta in there, which is probably why I like it so much, but according to the blurb the styling was actually executed by Englishman Trevor Fiore at Fissore. I guess I can see hints of Fiore's Montiverdi Hai in that profile too (I don't personally subscribe to the claim that Peter Montiverdi designed the Hai himself).
Anyway, the T11 was powered by an Austin Maxi 1500cc transverse 4-cylinder FWD engine and gearbox, mid-mounted in a square box section steel frame.

These are the pictures that got me so interested in the car. Those fantastic BWA alloys are still on the car, 38 years later. According to the Gilbern website parts for a further 2 T11s were manufactured before the design was shelved due to the uncertain market.
I get the impression that pop-up headlights were planned instead of the 90mm fixed lamps currently used, but they look OK, and seeing as the prototype was never road registered, fixed lights would keep the SVA man happy.
Well, I think its a pretty good effort, but maybe you disagree
