Hi Everyone, Just another follow-up on this, what is the width of your floorpan drops?
or, what is the widest seat you can fit in a dropped VW floorpan?

I understand this may vary from car to car depending on how the drops were fitted.

I'm looking at a fibreglass seat, fitting to a VW Pan that will have a 3 inch drop.
I have seen a seat that is 41cm wide at the base, will it fit?

    TIA
    Steve

They are great for width, but in order to be able to close the roof without my head sticking through the roof, the front needs to be at least 2 inches higher than the back. My floor is dropped, by a couple of inches.

Wow, they look lovely. What are the measurements? I don't think I'd get them in my eagle.... but I can dream....

Total Height of Seat inc. Base: 80.5cm
Total Height of Seat Backrest: 77cm
Total Width of Seat Base at Widest Point: 41cm
Total Width of Seat top at Widest Point: 44cm
Total Width of Seat Back at Widest Point: 36cm
Internal Width of Cushion You Sit On at Back: 24cm
Internal Width of Cushion You Sit On at Front: 27.5cm

The drawback(?) is there is not a huge amount of padding. They are quite firm. Yet to try them on the road.

I don't think the width would be a problem in an Eagle the issue is is likely to be with the fixed back & head height.

The only NEW reclining seats I could find that would definitely fit width wise are the Corbeau Sportsman

Bit of a price difference though!

If you're up Marlow way pop in and try them for size/comfort.
