I bit the bullet and built a vacuum bagging set up yesterday. It's a cheap set up, less then $125 total.
Vac pump is from Harbor Freight, yeah I know, but this one seems pretty darned sturdy, and HEAVY. It's a 2.5 CFM pump, which is plenty of pull for the small parts I might do. I can't remember the hg rating on it, but I do remember it was enough based on the vacuum bagging booklet I got from USComposites. http://www.harborfreight.com/25-cfm-vac ... 98076.html
A trip to the local ACE Hardware for connections and hose. I bought the in-bag connection at the end from USComposites when I bought the bagging supplies, more on that in a bit. Anyway, here is the set up.

Now, more about the supplies. The peel ply feels like something that can be purchased from a fabric store. I'm going to take some in with me and see if they can ID it. The bleeder fabric is nothing more than nice thick fleece. The bagging material can be bought at a hardware store I think. The booklet says plastic about 6 mils thick, I know I can get that at ACE, hopefully cheaper. The mastic tape... not sure about that one, I'll have to look around.
