    Metallic blue Nova

Only photos snapped off a computer screen, but so long as it exists it could be good for someone......

It's a 50 year old car and everything works, just not always at the same time.......and it's probably about to get jealous!

I think that the panel where it says INTACEPTER, is probably wire mesh. Look at the photo of the rear from the eBay auction (with the 'buy it now' price of £200,000!!), and the one showing the rear in the Gumtree add. There's a large hole in the back on the one from eBay, and the INTACEPTER mesh(?) on the one from Gumtree.

If that's the case, take the mesh off and just paint over the word, and put on a custom exhaust.

Agreed - I like this one too, it has that "something" that makes it desirable. It has a tipped forward stance but without overdoing it. I would definitely have been interested if I were still looking.

The rear end treatment is interesting, but as you say, that "Intacepter" rubbish would have to be ripped off before I even moved the car....

The exhaust is easy to fix, if rather expensive if you want something decent. I would like the one Jim has on his car - which sounds great, but is serious money even if you get lucky and find one second hand.

Interior looks to be a mess - what you can see of it, and the canopy evidently has to be propped up with a stick.

Looks to have well fitted glass side windows.

Wonder if the "air thingie" on the roof is functional (presumably to let air out) - or maybe it hides/houses a rear view camera.

Does a bit of time travle as well on ebay it was not run for 5 years, now on gumtree it was running 3 years ago.

TLC to remove the rubbish out of the inside, but at least the overspray has gone off the exhaust

    Re: Metallic blue Nova

    Hi All,

Going over to Manchester to have a closer look at this car on Saturday. The seller says the car is an Avante Super Nova, is this a different manufacturer to original Mk 1 - 4 Nova's, I've not heard of this description before ?.

Any suggestions on possible problem areas to look at?. I'm aware of floor pan and suspension corrosion areas, and I'm ok with engine issues. Anything else to consider would be appreciated ?.

Seller is looking for £2000, car needs engine service / checking, electric issues with fuse board and front lights, interior incomplete. Any comments on value ??.

    Thanks,

    Mike.
