Jimcub...do you have any photos of your wiper installation using this kit?

Mine has completely imploded (motor, spindles & linkage are all broken) so I think complete replacement, rather than repair, is the most appropriate way forward and the unit you mentioned sounds ideal.

Did yo have any issues adapting it to your Nova?

    cheers

Not sure that Jimcub still views the forum, and he has sold his car on.....
It's a 52 year old car and everything works, just not always at the same time.......and it's probably about to get jealous!

A couple of other sites that may be of use are :-

http://store.stepvanparts.com/WIPER-PARTS-STEPVAN.HTM This one is used by some of the Sterling guys

Made by AM Equipment and are called "230 series" units.
    • Motor - "230 series left hand" (12v, dynamic park) Part # 230-1001 (just motor)
    • Arm - "Pantograph arm, dry". (26"/ 660mm length, 1.25" bridge width) Part # 301-1260
    • Blade - "230 series flex blade". (19"/ 480mm length) Part # 302-1190
The motor can be supplied as a "unitized" version which comes with the required pantograph bits and pieces.
    The website is www.amequipment.com

Their 2D series system looks really neat and the linkage approach is clean and compact. Not sure if anyone has fitted these to a Nova though http://www.amequipment.com/wp-conten...9/801-1086.pdf

And lastly Tricoparts used by Kym

Pantograph Wiper Arm 660mm long (26"). Bridge width 45mm. Price
    $162.30 plus GST.

Wiper Blade 460mm long (18"). Price $37.84 each plus GST.

Pivot plate. The idler shaft to driven shaft length is 45mm
(to suit wiper arm). The internal diameter of main hole that driven
shaft locates into is 16mm. Price is $23.72 each plus GST.

As luck would have it - if anyone else is in need of a replacing their wiper set-up, I've just noticed that Sterling Sportscars have (fairly recently - since the last time I visited their site) started to offer a full washer/wiper kit, including the motor/linkage, pantograph arm, blade, rotary switch & an integrated washer bottle/pump, for about $280 (approx £180) plus P&P...

Never realised they used my blog to run their own.

Their service was excellent. I spent a good bit of time on the phone them and they were happy to send a selection for me to pick from.

I then returned what I didn't use and they refunded immediately.

I will be ordering exactly the same set up for the current project once I look to fit the canopy.
