Well, they clearly wanted the car more than they wanted the gullwing dash!

    More Slow Progress...

Sorry about all the broken picture links. I will try and re-upload some of them in the future, but for the time being here is an update on where we are...

I'm quite pleased with this view. Oil pressure sender is developing some resistance to ground, so the STOP RIGHT NOW symbol isn't illuminated (needs sub-10 psi for that) and as usual I have forgotten to pull up the handbrake and flick the main beams on. But the symbols are there

Latest attempt at new light baffles in the telecam monitor housing, also you can see the texture finish on the various dash components.

The illusion is rapidly shattered when you look at how much of the interior is still unfinished!

...But overall I am quite pleased with the way the instrument pod turned out, particularly the texture finish, which helps to disperse reflections in bright sunshine.

    More progress soon!

Looks fantastic Lauren. I think you've hit the perfect balance of modern digital instrumentation, whilst still reflecting the '70's look of the car. I see a spare roof in the background. You wouldn't happen to also have a spare Mk1 bonnet lurking around somewhere .... that you'd be happy sell?

Looking very 70's OEM finish, really not left now to complete the overall look

Looking very professional! The shattered illusion problem I'm sure will not be for long, and if the rest of the interior is to the same spec, it will look the business! `¬)

Hi Dirk - dash pod uses UPOL PlastX No. 4 fine grain texture paint - the coarse stuff doesn't work so well on small pieces. Final finish is VHT Chassis and Rollbar Satin Black, which has just the right amount of shininess I need

    Lol! 1970s digital instrumentation!

I'm sorry to say I don't have a spare bonnet, unfortunately

No worries Lauren. I'm a long way off from replacing my Mk2 bonnet, but just take the opportunity to ask folk whenever I think they might have a spare one!
