Very cool. I've always loved the louvered headlights. One thing. The video clearly says Sterling, and it's written on the back of one of the cars. Surely they're Nova's, not Sterlings?

And I thought the blue one was a Defi, but the tail badge says different...

The white car has a Mk2 Nova dash top at any rate. I like the horizontal fan conversion on the engine although some of the other styling features are not to my taste.

Nice to see a variety of kit and other rarities on French roads though - as Jon has pointed out, it is very difficult to get any kind of specialist car accepted by the authorities over there.

To be technically accurate, I should have written "Nova-Sterlings". That's what everyone calls them these days. I'm not sure when that originated though - whether in the Defi days, or some time afterwards. Confusing though, as I'm pretty sure Defi got the original moulds from the English Nova. I don't believe there was any link with the American Sterling. The blue one is a Defi, but the guy who owns it is a bit of an individualist

And is that a head-clearance bump on the drivers-side roof of the white one?
It's a 52 year old car and everything works, just not always at the same time.......and it's probably about to get jealous!

Hmm, maybe! You get a glimpse at about 2:48, but get a better view at 5:43 when it enters the long building. You get a shot almost directly from behind, and there's certainly something going on there. And a profile shot with the roof raised at 6:28.
