I think I've already mentioned it, but allegedly there was a boat only some 30 minutes away from home, where the owner grafted the top half of a Eureka onto it. Working canopy and all. I have seen a picture of a Lotus Europa shell grafted on a hull in the same manner. Floated long enough to have its picture taken, obviously!
