Bushboy, your timing is impeccable! I sacked the welder 20 minutes ago...

Sorry Mick...but a backup plan is in place.

Don't worry! I've still got Neal, the reliable but very busy welder who built Alex's chassis.

Plan B is to put a TF back end on my V6 chassis - only the rear bars are different. This will force me to focus on the Subaru one!

So are you looking for another donor yet to avoid breaking this one? For all the niggly little faults with MGs, I will be seriously dissapointed if the Nova version isn't as much fun to drive....
It's a 50 year old car and everything works, just not always at the same time.......and it's probably about to get jealous!

Mrs P wants one but I'm resolute in my plan to begin disassembly early in 2017. I am happy I seem to have bought a good one but only because it should mean I can recycle most of the one donor and not need to replace too much.
Maybe I'll buy another one as a summer toy!

Thought I would give you an update on a poly creations product.
Bought a rear window tunnel as mine was very poor and minus the lip section.
The provide a good quality replacement but not the same as the original.

They are shorter in length so do not protrude through the back section.
They do not have the inner recess where originally you bond in your perspex or glass.

For me it works well as I had adapted the rear aperture anyway for glass. Anyone that buys this product would have to do the same.
