    You are a legend. For a change I understand what you have said !!!!
    Joking.....
    Thats exactly what I and probably others needed to read. A virtual step by step guide to fitting a pedal box with hydraulic clutch.
    Can you just clarify one bit. The slot and the mouse mat. I get the gasket bit but not sure on the slot.....where are you making a slot ?

    Remove the body mounting flange and sufficient bulkhead to clear the top of the cylinders. This leaves gaps between the cylinders and cold feet. A foam mouse mat is just the right size to cover the opening and can be cut to a tight fit around the cylinders. I made a surround trim from some alloy to hold it in place.

    Interesting thread;
    I like Pedal Box's because they offer a brake balance 'bar' built-in,
    but what other benefits do you get over the standard VW cable setup?
    Can you mount the pedals further back to help taller drivers?
    Do you get a better feel for the controls?
    The Nova Mk1 build manual advises you to shorten the pedals,
    and IIRC I had to bend the brake and accelerator pedal to miss the steering column.
    Do you get any of that mucking around with a pedal box?

    I found that the pedal box, ( and there are lots out there), was simple and as such easy to alter. Hydraulics give a smooth clutch and the balance bar really makes getting the brake bias right and with a cable adjuster it can be done on the fly, my next mod'.
    I think my set up puts the pedals around the same place, of course, easy for shorter legs to move closer.
