On the Subject of Joining Club Nova, the sticky at the top of the Club Nova Forum has the
    contact email address of:
    Email clubnova@euro-nova.co.uk

    I don't think this email address is checked/working - I didn't get a response to my email

I can confirm the address is working and is now being checked, I reset and passed over login information only a few days ago.

    G'day Steve,

I have not yet linked the email address to my normal account so I am a little behind on correspondence.

I will be in contact with you shortly with Club Nova details.

    Cheers

Hi Bushboy, No worries; I wrote about joining Club Nova before Stoneliegh - that's been sorted now.

FYI my details are held as follows, additionally the v5 already states Historic as the taxation class

My Nova is now registered as historic. Turns out it was on the system as 1973 first registration already just didn't display it on the V5C or the post office taxing system. V10 form filled out for historic and V5C tax class section change requesting historic was all I needed.

    Phill,

Have you had any news back from the DVLA yet?

    My V5 also states :-
    registration number UBG785V
date of first registration - November 1979
    make - Volkswagen
    body type - sports
Special notes - assembled from parts all of which may not be new

The actual date of manufacture of my chassis was June 71 so I can only assume the November 79 registration date (and 1979 number plate) was when the finished kit was assembled / put on the road first.

I am keen to get the make to be changed to Nova but I think we may struggle with tax free because of the special notes re-setting the age of our cars!

Still haven't heard back from the DVLA but last night was looking into sending my V5C document back to get it updated as it still shows the colour as red and the engine number is the engine that was in the car when it was with a previous owner.

I bought my engine off ebay 2 years ago and have since lost the receipt. However, upon reading the small print I find that when updating the V5C with a different engine I need to provide proof of purchase in the form of a receipt otherwise the application will be rejected. Given that I no longer have a receipt what am I to do?

If you made the purchase on ebay you should still have it in your purchase history.
If not, can't you just have a friend provide you with a receipt?
