Hi Phill, Short answer yes. There is a 'brake' on the actuator that locks the piston in place when the power comes off, either up or down. The brake is an optional extra on the LA30 Actuator.

I know it's doors v canopy but mine pull down and hold down very nicely.

I asked them not to drill out any holes for the de-mist vents, but they did anyway.

The holes are ~85mm diameter,
anyway now I am having problems finding vents to fit, modern ones are quite a bit smaller.

Any thoughts? Please don't tell me they are from a Mk 1 Escort.

Cover the front, fiberglass in from the rear, satin black paint on top, holes gone. Then cut whatever size or shape you want where you want
