    I used a new wiring loom (from Nova Cars Ltd) in your car, I think the mistake I made was running it via/inside the wheel arches with inadequate protection from the elements. Anyway the problems weren't apparent for the first few years (i.e. during my ownership) but I assume eventually the insulation brokedown?
    Adding various 'bells & whistles' after the initial build probably didn't help

    I sent my rear light panel to John (PiperPhaseTwo) for him to create a mould and replicate;
    The panel was pretty rough and a happy by-product of this process is John refurbing the panel prior to creating the mould.

    Update from John:

    Panel as it arrived sat on the lower rear panel that came with my nova

    Sanded flat with the damaged areas and gel coat ground back where required

    GRP applied to the ground back areas

    Continued...

    Front side sanded flat, filled then sanded flat again

    First coat of 2K polyester spray filler

    Polyester spray filler flatted back and sprayed in 2K gloss white (gel coat of the mould should be darker colour so it is easy to spot where the gel coat has been applied)

    Next stage is wax the panel with mould release ready for moulding…. Then the messy fun begins!

    Looks fantastic Steve. Not many unmolested ADD Mk1 rear light panels around these days. I hope you have a NOS pair of Bedford CF lights to put in those holes!

    Thanks folks - yes looks great, but credit to Piper* who has the blisters from all that sanding.

    Hi Lauren, Yes managed to get some New old stock CF lenses on Ebay - from Italy!

    Many folk would have been reluctant to send away such a rare body panel to someone else to work on so that they can then prepare a mould, but it looks like it's going to be a true 'win win' for both of you!

    Well done both!

    Great work, and something I've thought of doing for my rear louvre. It's had loads of filler from previous owners but I would really like to recreate an original example just as you are re-creating the original rear panel. I'm sure other Nova owners would be interested in purchasing new panels from the mould you are creating

    Nice repair job (id ask for it back now ) Its a difficult shape to take a mould from, looking forward to seeing it finished, there may be a market for some more panels once the mould is made.
