    Nova Barn Find

Well - more like a muddy field find I should say...

I received a recent tip off about a Nova that had been spotted in a field not far from me (about a mile or so), intrigued I decided to go and investigate for myself having been given a good description of it's whereabouts.

Sure enough, in a field along with what looks like dozens of other scrap cars I found the car just as described.
Basically, a complete shell and rolling chassis minus an engine and no windscreen/ lights or any wiring. The floorpans were completely rotted out, but the shell is in good nick and the roof hinges look almost new.

I spoke to the owner who tells me he bought it about 18 months ago and it wasn't for sale but was a project intended for sometime in the future though he was far to busy with other cars at the moment to do anything with it.

I asked if it would be OK to take some photos and he said that was fine.

How frustrating!!! Maybe worth keeping his contact details in case he changes his mind?

You sure it doesn't have a windscreen? that glass sitting on the roof looked very screen like to me...
Ah, never mind, on closer inspection, I can see they're side windows

Most, sadly - and there are even club members who's cars fall into that category, lanquishing untouched for 10 years +. But as our Scottish friend has shown, the Nova disease won't lay dormant indefinitely and is waiting to spring into action at any moment!
It's a 52 year old car and everything works, just not always at the same time.......and it's probably about to get jealous!
