Found my autoglass invoice dated April 2017.
For banded screen, fitment and fitting the flexi trim around the edge- they should have charged me £935.56.
But they made a mistake and I think they had to honour their mistake so I paid around £360.
Give them a call and hope they have not learnt from their mistake !!

    Nice mistake! `¨)

...I'd also ask for discount and see what happens!

I have emailed Autoglass and Pilkington, I'll report back, as stated earlier I am not in a hurry, looking to purchase mid-year.

Didn't you give them their part numbers? I would have thought they would have found it from them?

Autoglass Part number for a nova windscreen is 9886ABL

This is for a banded screen, glass colour blue

The above is taken from my Autoglass invoice. All they do is buy from Pilkingtons and they are the only supplier of the glass.

    For info

I don't believe they are current part numbers.

I had a similar conversation with AutoGlass,
I quoted the part numbers on this thread and they asked me the same question:

"We have Eagle, Sterling or Novante under that manufacturer, which do you require?"
    (Novante=Nova / Avante).

Just a thought, when you next speak to them mention my registration number, TTP597K.
It will be in their system and they should be able to then cross reference the numbers....

Yes I did give part numbers but the operator wanted a car, they said the buyers had to get a price

There was a screen advertised (brand new) on ebay some years ago, which was advertised as 'Avante Kit Car / VW Nova Windscreen'.
There is a shorter windscreen available, but not sure which car uses that?

There is a drawing that gives the measurements from Pilkington on the site somewhere, which I can post again if its of any use?

These are pics of the one I got from Autoglass (Although Buffy's info is likely to be more recent!)

Hope you hear a good result from Autoglass soon!
(the 'GNBL' refers to green tint with blue top band)
