Anyone Near Kent who could finish refurbing a Nova for me ??

Hi All
Bit of a long shot but Is there anyone not too far from Kent who could finish off refurbishing a Nova ??
Just testing the water. �� obviously I am willing to pay...I'm not looking for a show car only a runner I can drive home ...I will put up a list of what needs done later ...I'm not lazy I'm just not mechanically minded , don't have the time, the tools, the space.etc etc .I really admire you guys who spend months and sometimes years taking a box of bits and meticulously putting it together the ups and downs the wins and fails ..I just couldn't handle it lol..So in a nutshell i can't afford a complete car ...But I can afford a fixer upper which I have now found yeeehaaa ...But a per my post above I am hoping I can find someone to finish her off!!!!!!!��

Hi Dave, I can't help with your request but I hope something comes up for you.

I was in touch with the original builder of the PPC Nova (i.e. my car) Rob Harper, and he mentioned that you'd viewed the car when he first advertised it -this must have been years ago(?)
Anyway you had a narrow escape mate ;-)

Hi Dave,
As an alternative, have you considered bringing bringing your Nova up the road and getting the work done on her nearer home so that you can pop in regularly to discuss work? Getting things done 400+ miles away, whilst not impossible, isn't ideal.
If I was retired and my Nova was road legal I'd be happy to help, but for the foreseeable it's not possible. Once you've got a list of work required, maybe it's worth chatting to these 2 companies ...

The biggest challenge is when you start having work done by others charged per hour the bills quickly mount up and you may have found buying a complete car even at a higher price can work out cheaper

Appreciate the advice...makes sense ;-) ..will review once I've seen the list of jobs to do... fortunately the chap I'm buying from is sorting the roof for me...she,s also been wired and the chassis has been prepped...the body is back on so it's not a major build (&#129310 ...will post a few pics later....

It's worth asking around local garages. I found one that does renovation/rebuild work as a side line. They fit in in around the usual servicing etc. Labour rate was about 1/3 their normal rate.....did take nearly 3 years to do about 3 months work (by the billed time)! Still probably quicker than if I'd done it all myself.

Overall I'm guessing the labour has been slightly more than the car cost...but was spread over 3 years. Part's I don't count as they have to be bought whoever fits them.
