Ah so you are thinking both boot segment and outer segment that wraps around? Yup could work along the lines of what Yaughn did with his recessed lights version 1

I would like to get my hands on a pair of them to see what can be done with them and see how they are wired.

Maybe I'll go to the dealer and check them out and get some measurements.

I'm sure Yaughn sent me a picture of it but I must have deleted it. I would send him a picture of these but I know he has bought something else.

Just looking at all options including using both lights.

I was following one of those this morning, and the lower clusters look quite promising?

Went to the Pick a Part yard today looking for the last items I needed for the power assist canopy and came across these.

They are out of a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. Funny thing about these is the whole car was burnt out from a fire and these were about the only thing worth pulling on the car, the rest of the car was toast.

Back up light bulb will be replaced with an amber bulb to make it a turn signal.

In isolation they look incredibly racey, like they came off a late model Lamborghini or something. Amazing to think they normally adorn an SUV...

Very nice out of the box thinking. Can you overlay them on the car and shoot some photos.

The above picture isn't really accurate. It was taken with a short focal length.

Here's a better picture(sort of) showing the ratio of the size of the light to that of the car

The above picture was taken during the middle of the day in full sun light with temperatures around 110*F.
These were taken at dusk( probably why they turned out grainy)and temperatures at 103*F

Feel free to cut and paste(wheres Peter when you need his artistic abilities). LOL

Thank you for the mock up. Interesting, I envisioned them upside down.
