Only word of caution I'd say is driving her all the way back home. If you've never driven a Nova, they can take a bit to get used to. Lack of servo assistance on the brakes, lack of power steering, lack of ventilation/demisting (esp if it's raining) and lack of visibility to the rear. If there was a way of getting her home on a trailer/low loader it would give you the opportunity to get used to her gently on short local trips. There are also a few stories on the Forum of folk stuck with technical problems at the roadside ... and there are those (who will remain nameless) who take their pristine road legal Novas to shows on a trailer!

Anyway, enough of that, enjoy having a Nova at last, and I can't wait to meet you (and her) once you get her home!!

    Cheers, Alistair
Drove this back from London about 25 years ago....disk brakes & a tinted windscreen in the rain.. an absolute nightmare but good fun 😉.....also I'm with the AA home recovery so worst cast is she will be brought home for free lol

Yes, another Nova is now resident in my shed. I have not given the list of what has to be done to Dave yet as he has a weak heart.

I will start a new thread in the My Car section & populate with pics & will no doubt need to ask some questions as I can't find where to top the radiator up & the actuators for the roof, well there just aren't any, just some cabriolet oil pump!

And how could I resist getting my hands dirty again when it was just across the water.

    Cheers
