Thanks Buffy, I didn’t realise she still needed MOT, so it’s actual Classic original Cars over 40 years old that don’t need an MOT ??

There has been a long long discussion on a thread somewhere on this topic, it does need an MOT I'm afraid. Its all in the fine print and definitions of modifications etc.. Regardless its the right thing to do for your safety and others.

I wouldn't care if any vehicle I owned was MOT exempt, I would get it MOTed for my own peace of mind and to make it easier to find problems we wouldn't consider, but an MOT specialist would because its something they've been trained to do.

Just a quick up-date on Dave's Golfkart.

Working on the side pods while the roof is still off. Not a straight forward job to fit as the previous owner has added strengthening rails around the outside channel of the floor pan. Right where the side pods are suppose to go into. Not a good time of the year to be doing large expanses of fibre-glassing so it is on hold for a short while till the shed warms up a bit more.

So I will be moving my attention to mounting & plumbing in the new roof pump. Wiring is all done for it, just need to make the bracket, get some fitting & run the pipes.

If bushboy hadn't came to the rescue I would have been snookered , She would be still in a sorry state as I havnt got a clue technically wise, hence the reason I had always been looking for a completed car.....she defo not gonna be black,,,got a mate whose company do wrapping so i'm thinking a matt silver maybe baby blue with the martini decals as the January Nova on this years calendar looks the dogs dangly bits....
