    More log on time

In my next posts on the bonnet/hood the posts will be longer than previous posts and in some of the previous posts that I've done I get logged out in the more longer ones.

My question is , is it possible to get more log on time before your timed out and you have to log back in??

That's strange - I've never been aware of a time limit when logged in? As far as I know, once I'm logged in I stay logged in. Maybe Dan or Alex can answer this for you?

Meanwhile, if it is a problem why not draft your copy in word or notepad - then once you're ready to post copy and paste it into the forum?

I have run into this problem on some of my longer posts. As Phill suggests, I draft the text and embed the image links in Libre Office (I know, I'm a cheapskate) and then copy and paste the whole lot in one go.

Although the time-out is shorter than some other forums it does not seem to be unusual to be logged off after a period of inactivity. My problem is I usually write too much, and spend too much time re-reading/editing etc.!

When logging in, make sure you click the “stay logged in” or “remember me” box, I forget exactly what it’s called but that should solve it.

To add, the forum session timeout was set to 15 minutes, I’ve just doubled it in an attempt to remove this issue entirely.

I follow suit with Lauren and draft long posts in Word then cut and paste once I'm done

I load my pictures onto https://vgy.me/ in advance, then just copy the links into the word or notepad.

Its free, easy and hopefully doesn’t go down the same route as photo bucket
