    Hi Jim,

It's good to hear from you, especially your news that Sarah's made such good progress that she's been able to get back to driving. That really must be a big boost for you all, including Martha.

Wishing you a belated 10th wedding anniversary!

    Alistair

    You're welcome Jim, and the same to you and yours. As I say to many who I know online;
"Real life and those important to you and yours always come first."
We're all rooting for you, Sarah and family.
    And Happy Anniversary!

    Hi all,

I’m afraid Sarah lost her battle with cancer on Saturday.

She died peacefully at St Barnabus Hospice in Worthing. She had her immediate family beside her. Sarah was admitted to the hospice just 10 days earlier after a rapid decline, when it became apparent her active treatment was no longer working.

I know many of the UK Nova team have met her over the years, and were immensely supportive when she was first diagnosed a few years ago. You have all also been great friends to Martha and she recognises the Club Nova tent as a safe place full of friends.

It was Martha that asked me if ‘the Stoneleigh people’ knew - I’m sure she will value seeing you all again in the future.
    All the best,

    Jim

I'm so sorry to hear this Jim. I have never met either of you in person but have followed your work over the years and have been inspired by what you have achieved. I'm sure she must have been very proud of you but words alone cannot replace what you have lost and I cannot imagine how you must be feeling.

As mentioned on email, none of us can really appreciate what you are going through. Only those who have been there really know. Sarah and you're family as a whole always made everyone feel welcome, as experienced by myself, my wife and kids last year. Martha was very open and welcoming, a testament to how yourself and Sarah have brought her up.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you both.

I'm so sorry to hear about Sarah.

Things were sounding optimistic back in September when she got back to driving, so it must have been hard to see her condition changing so quickly.

Sincere condolences to you, Martha and your wider family.
