Any Recommendations for a Photo Hosting Website?

Hi all,

For some reason I can no longer insert images to my posts. Whilst trying to upload a picture of around 240KB I get a message saying that it exceeds my quota by 19.67MB.

Anyway, it made me think I might be better going down the photo hosting website route and inserting weblinks when I want to post a photo. However, I don't want to sync all the photos on my phone, and would rather only upload my Nova photos to a hosting website. Also, being a canny Scot, I'd like to do this for free!

Can anyone recommend a suitable hosting website?

Hi Alistair,
I use dropbox.com, you get 2Gb free, I am currently using less than half of that.
When you are posting pics to this forum, you simply paste in the URL (Insert Image Button) as you suggest.

I email the photos to myself from the phone and pop them onto Dropbox from my PC and insert the link from there. Probably not the most efficient route (there is a 'Gotcha' which I will tell you about)
So I don't sync everything either.

I have not used any other hosting services so I can't recommend one over another.
I am happy enough with Dropbox.

Imgur works for me, I have the app on my phone so just upload from there then copy and pate into the post.

Good luck Alistair, I'm one of those who is a bad example and couldn't offer any help since I own my own server and no, while I may host my own images, I can't offer image hosting for others.

use the img tags, like this
[img*]LINK[/img*]
But take away the *

Edit, doesn’t seem to work with vgy.me links...
