Complete Running Nova (been sat in a garage for 14 yrs)

Its registered as a Volkswagen under make but model blank.
Still a saloon but that's OK, number of seats blank.

Thats what is on the v5 but on Mot history it says Volkswagen Beetle, but that must
have been because the mot tester needed to put in something 15 years ago?
It's exempt now anyway.

I think just saying Volkswagen would be ok? For example if police spotted me it wouldn't say beetle on their database if its based on V5 info.

It is still a Volks of course, it wouldn’t say or resemble a beetle, so it shouldn't confuse them.

Am I overthinking it? Feel like it writing this

My V5 used to have the car listed as make=Volkswagen, Model=Sports but I was able to get it changed to say Make=Nova

I think there are plenty of Beach Buggies registered simply as Volkswagen so I don't think it's an issue to stay as it is but you can probably get it updated

I took my Nova out of the garage for the first time in a while yesterday and made a lot of progress!
I may even have it close to driving which I’ll update on a separate thread. So may not need the other car now.

Hi Dave,

He re-advertised it with a starting price of £3k instead of the original £4.5k. I’m pretty sure it didn’t stay on eBay for the full length of the auction, but I don’t know whether he sold it or not. Maybe he saw Mark’s Gulf Nova and decided it might be worth restoring his own Nova himself?

I see you’re consider swapping your Mk1 Escort for a kit car? Are you thinking about another Nova or something else?
