Pleased for you mate, I saw the Ad, good set of pics on there.
But I reckon the buyer probably knew the car...?
Hope the transaction goes through without glitches.

When the dust has settled, can you tell us what happened plse?
Did the buyer ping you with an offer you couldn't refuse ;-)

Buyer surprisingly did not know the car, but he always wanted one as his dad had one back in the day.
We spoke, he asked my buy it now and I gave it. He straight away has given me a non refundable deposit so it should go all ok.

Will I miss it, in truth I donít think so for I never really drove it !!
    I am builder .........
My xk8 will be happy though for it can have the garage back again !😂

So, the car has now gone. It went for just under 10, however they are fully aware that the car needs a total respray.
I mentioned a while ago that the car has developed tiny spots , and you can feel them all over the body of the car. I was gutted when I first noticed them and they would only get worse. So I worked out the value of the car against a full respray and I just could not go through the process again.
I will still be following the forum and seeing what you are all up to.
I may even go and look at a blue Avante 😂

Glad to hear that Mark ... look forward to chatting in future.

Blue Avante?!? But I thought your new home wasnít suitable for cars like that?

But wait, I remember you said that you prefer to build them than drive them. In which case thatís the perfect retirement project for you .... go for it Mark, you know it makes sense!

Well done Mark, good to hear you got a result you are happy with. And also good to hear the price was in the right region.

Having just reassembled mine post respray I know what you mean re facing it all again. I donít plan to keep mine long enough to have to do that again!

    are you keeping the Lomax?
    All the best,

    Hi Jim
Will be keeping the lomax as the other half loves it, and being so small I can easily find somewhere to put it. Strangely I also prefer driving it compared to the nova, and to build a car I have to enjoy the end project, which I never truly got with the nova.
Just watch this space however, for I feel that once my car has been repainted it may be back for sale again. Just a hunch ........
