    Headlight cover template or measurements

    Hi all,

Been meaning to post this for a while. The grid is in Metric, 1 cm and then 10 cm grid. Hopefully it helps to create a pattern if anyone wants to.

On mine there was a difference betwixt left and right, is yours symetrical?
It's a 52 year old car and everything works, just not always at the same time.......and it's probably about to get jealous!

There is an .eps file available to download here (.eps is a file format that a cnc or laser cutting company can use to cut the shape from acrylic) :-

I created this file a few years ago and used it to get headlamp covers made up for my car. But Alex is right, there is a slight difference between the sides. I only created one template and flipped it to make the other side only to find it's not quite a perfect fit on both sides, but still good enough I'd say

    Just what I need, thanks.

I'm going for Lexan as the perspex I used from Wickes does shatter-
my cat jumped onto it climbing up the car!

Same here - height of headlight recess very different side to side, as are headlight recess dimensions, side windows and thickness of canopy sill near mirror mounts!

Maybe without the selfie, vice and sandals would be better?

    Good idea though.

Selfie with sandals was the whole point! You ruined it, Peter!

My headlight buckets are different sizes by at least half an inch.
    Thanks,

    Nic.
