Hi guys - having experienced the dousing from front wing mounted windscreen washers, and also how ineffective they are in this position, particularly when travelling at speed, I went for a wiper mounted washer nozzle...
The nozzle is a triple-jet which has a moulded tab for a screw mount. I cut this tab off, and fashioned a rectangular slot in the body so that it would locate onto the side of the wiper arm and is held in place with a tie-wrap/zip tie, as is the washer hose that fits into the recess on the underside of the pantograph control arm. It ain't pretty, but it does work.
Inside the canopy I have routed the hose between the inner and outer skins to the drivers side canopy hinge, where there are holes for the wiper motor wiring loom. The hose is routed through the holes and down the tube, and connects to the washer bottle hose just before it goes into the bodywork. I have connected together the two hoses with a non-return valve, so there is always a head of washer fluid in the line up to the wiper nozzles.
Of course, the only reason I can use the holes in the hinges for the wiper wiring loom is because I am using a hatchback rear wiper contact plate...
Clearly there are differences between my wiper configuration and the standard Nova implementation, but there is nothing here that can't be applied to a standard Nova and after many years of use in all weathers I would certainly recommend this arrangement over a bonnet/hood or wing mount nozzle.
